Terms & Conditions

Updated May 24, 2024: The terms and conditions apply to all bookings made online or in-store. 

Deposit and Refund Policy:
1. A deposit is NO LONGER required for bookings. We may request a deposit for some services.
2. A booking can be cancelled or rescheduled 12 hrs. before your appointment through the Account Manager.
3. The deposit paid during booking will be subtracted from the final amount.
4. All sales are final, and no refunds are offered.
5. A NO-SHOW will result in a charge of 50% of the appointment value.

Laser Policy:
1. I consent to and authorize Shalu’s Salon and its staff members to perform laser and other services on me.
2. I understand that extra charges will be applied for any shaving services.
3. I understand that the treatment may involve risks of complications or injury from both known and unknown causes, and I freely assume these risks. I agree to adhere to all safety precautions and regulations during laser treatments.
4. The nature and purpose of the treatment have been explained to me, and any questions I have regarding that treatment have been answered to my satisfaction.
5. Laser treatments do not completely stop hair growth but reduce it by 50-70% after 6-8 treatments.
6. I confirm that I am not a minor under the age of 16. I understand that minors require parental or legal guardian consent.
7. Laser packages purchased are non-refundable, non-transferable, and must be used within six months.

Before appointment:
1. Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are late by 10 min, your appointment will be cancelled. The deposit will not be refunded.
2. Remove any make-up products such as mascara or false lashes glue before your appointment.
3. Do not wear contact lenses to your appointment.
4. We take Cash, Credit cards (excluding American Express), Debit cards, and Interac e-Transfer.
5. Patch test requires 24 hrs monitoring. Please book your appointment 24 hr before the appointment.
6. I consent that I am responsible for my decision to carry out the treatments. I understand the longevity of any treatment will vary depending on the condition of the area being treated, the treatment I choose and my aftercare.
7. The person carrying out the treatment is not responsible for any allergic reactions I may, in an improbable event, experience. If my medical condition changes, I must inform the person performing the treatment before future appointments.
